Statement:  Panorama – The Menopause Industry
30 September 2024

MenoClarity is concerned about reports of the over-prescribing of estrogen and related health issues. National and international guidelines based on research should be observed. We commend BBC Panorama and journalist Kirsty Wark for highlighting this problem.

Hormone therapy can be an effective treatment for menopause symptoms for women who need it and for whom it is suitable. Our goal is to ensure that women have all the information needed to make informed decisions about their treatment based on the evidence available.

If you are taking HRT and are concerned about your dosage or regimen, you can check out the Women’s Health Concern fact sheet ‘HRT – types, doses and regimens’ at https://www.womens-health-concern.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/27-WHC-FACTSHEET-HRT-Doses-NOV2022-A.pdf
